Pear Tree - 15 Hours
We have two classrooms for part time (15 hour) children; one of those is Pear Tree.
The hours for 15 hours are 9.00am-12.00pm if your child has a morning place or 12.45pm-3.45pm if your child has an afternoon place.
Children learn best when they are having fun, exploring their interests and are engaging with their peers or familiar adults. Adults support the children to have lots of fun whilst they explore the nursery environment safely and with increasing independence.
A typical session will start with a short group time that inspires the learning for the session; children will then have the opportunity to explore messy activities, mark making, sand/water, role-play, construction, small world, creative activities and mathematical activities. These are all supported by our well planned learning areas where children can access the resources that they need to further their learning. They will also spend lots of time in out outdoor environment; where they can develop their gross motor skills as well as developing an interest in the natural world. We see the outside areas as much as a learning environment as the inside areas and are developing learning areas such as the Mud Kitchen, water play, large scale construction, mark making shed, maths shed and reading areas. Throughout the session we have planned phonic sessions and story times.
Children will have fruit and toast as a snack and milk is provided every day. We encourage all children to bring in a water bottle so that they can access water throughout their session.
