Absences and Exclusion Periods
If your child is unwell and unable to attend nursery, please contact us by telephone 0118 937 5580 or email email@example.com to let us know your child's name, the class they are in and a brief reason for absence.
In some circumstances a mandatory exclusion period is necessary to prevent the spread of particular illnesses.
Please note that children with diarrhoea or vomiting should stay away from school until they have not been sick or had diarrhoea for at least 2 days (48 hours).
If your child has a high temperature, please keep them at home until their temperature has returned to normal and they do not require paracetamol (e.g. Calpol) to maintain their temperature.
The NHS has published a handy webpage to advise you when to keep your child at home. NHS - Is my child too ill for school?
